RRETS Group is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced NBN Complex Works Technicians to support a growing pipeline of telecommunications infrastructure projects across Queensland.

About the Role

As an NBN Complex Works Technician, you will be responsible for delivering a range of telecommunications construction, maintenance and network upgrade activities.

Your duties may include:

• Fibre cable hauling, installation and remediation
• Fibre splicing, jointing and OTDR testing
• NBN pit and pipe construction and remediation
• Network fault finding, restoration and commissioning
• Pole-based telecommunications works
• Operating bucket trucks (EWP), VAC trucks, excavators, skid steers and other construction plant
• Working safely on or near utility infrastructure
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings and work instructions
• Completing quality assurance records and project documentation
• Manual labour associated with telecommunications construction and maintenance works

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in NBN Complex Works or telecommunications infrastructure
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Current Construction White Card
• Hold all relevant licences, competencies, tickets, accreditations and certifications required to undertake NBN Complex Works
• Appropriate Australian working rights
• Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual labour in outdoor environments
• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel and work throughout regional and remote Queensland

Highly Desirable

• Fibre Splicing accreditation and OTDR testing experience
• NBN Pit & Pipe accreditation
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space Entry
• Bucket Truck (EWP) operating experience
• Vacuum Excavation (VAC Truck) experience
• Excavator, Skid Steer and other plant operator tickets
• Traffic Management qualifications
• First Aid & CPR
• MR, HR or HC Driver Licence
• Experience working on or near power poles and utility infrastructure

Pay: $65,000.00 – $112,159.31 per year
