Support Near Me Pty Ltd is seeking a calm, caring and reliable female Support Worker to provide community-based support to a 14-year-old participant in Casula, NSW.
This is a casual role involving approximately 2 shifts per week, 2 hours per shift.
About the role
The successful Support Worker will assist the participant with:
- Swimming and recreational activities one day per week
- Community access and social participation on another day
- Building confidence, independence and positive engagement in the community
- Providing calm encouragement and reassurance
- Giving clear and firm direction when required, while maintaining a respectful and supportive approach
- Maintaining the participant’s safety and wellbeing during all activities
We are looking for someone who is:
- Calm, patient, polite and caring
- Confident supporting a young person
- Able to build rapport while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
- Able to provide clear and firm direction when required
- Reliable, punctual and consistent
- Comfortable attending swimming and community activities
- Able to communicate professionally with the participant, family and support team
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Valid Australian driver licence
- Reliable and insured vehicle
- Appropriate work rights in Australia
- Previous disability, youth or community support experience is highly regarded
Due to the participant’s individual support needs, privacy and preferences, a female Support Worker is required for this role.

Hours: Approximately 4 hours per week across 2 shifts
