McMillan Shakespeare is expanding its engineering capability, and we’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, build, and delivery of modern enterprise applications used across our business.
You’ll take ownership of technical quality, mentor developers, and work closely with architects, product owners, and testers to deliver secure, scalable, high-performing software.

At MMS clear expectations help our people Be the Difference. Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

Lead solution design, architecture, and technical standards.
-
Build and enhance applications using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server.
-
Develop secure, high-performance APIs and integrations.
-
Work with Azure services (App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Cosmos DB).
-
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
-
Mentor junior/mid-level developers and support continuous improvement.
-
Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
-
Support production systems and incident response.
To be considered for this role you will possess the following:
-
Advanced experience in C#, .NET 5+/Core, ASP.NET Core, Web API.
-
Strong SQL Server skills, including tuning and indexing.
-
Hands-on Azure experience across key cloud components.
-
Solid understanding of secure coding, OAuth, JWT, and API design.
-
Experience with microservices and enterprise integrations.
-
Ability to lead, mentor, communicate effectively, and drive outcomes.
-
Optional strengths: VB.NET, WCF, event-driven architecture, React/Angular, IaC, NoSQL, automated performance testing, multi-cloud exposure.
