The Company

LAI Group is one of Australia’s largest switchboards and switchrooms manufacturers. With over 115 years of combined experience, we are a leader in the design and manufacture of custom switchboards and switchrooms in Australia.

As a result of continuous national growth, LAI Group is seeking a System Administrator to join our team at our office in Epping, Victoria within our IT department. We would like team members who are excited about the opportunity to build a stable, rewarding, and lucrative career with us.

A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime).

Wage (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration).

$78,000pa - $84,000pa.

The Position

A Systems Administrator at LAI plans, develops, installs, troubleshoots, maintains, and supports LAI’s IT systems to ensure LAI’s intranet and confidential information is kept protected and updated as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and maintaining LAI’s intranet and IT naming conventions along with the IT Manager;
  • Establishing routine maintenance and system recovery procedures to ensure the system is secure and safe;
  • Preparing and submitting to the IT Manager for approval database documentation, guidelines and procedures;
  • Constantly ensuring LAI’s systems are on the most efficient version; and
  • Partake in debugging exercises and identify then resolve problems, according to LAI procedures and processes.

The Candidate

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual with proven experience in supporting LAI’s IT System. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills and be confident collaborating across multiple departments.

Desired Competencies

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems or Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with manufacturing or discrete manufacturing-services environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and with external partners.
  • Familiarity with business processes in IT.
  • Experience in data migration, testing, and user training is highly desirable.
