Full job description

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate female support worker to join a small, dedicated team providing in-home support to a participant living with a progressive neurological condition. This is an ongoing position offering stability, continuity, and the opportunity to develop a strong professional working relationship within a close team environment. As the role involves personal care, it is a female-only position.

The role encompasses personal care and assistance with daily routines, meal preparation and mealtime supervision, and safe manual handling and transfers using specialised equipment. Comprehensive training is provided across all of these areas. The position also involves supporting community participation, including weekend activities, and providing attentive, respectful companionship throughout each shift.

The foremost requirement for this role is a high standard of spoken English and well-developed communication skills. As the participant's speech is affected by their condition, the successful applicant must be able to listen attentively and communicate clearly and effectively. Equally important are a patient and considerate manner, genuine respect for the people they support, and a demonstrated commitment to reliability and punctuality across all rostered shifts. Applicants should be comfortable providing personal care and assisting with transfers; while prior experience is advantageous, full training is provided. A current driver's licence is required, and the ability to drive a wheelchair accessible van would be well regarded, though it is not essential.

In return, we offer regular ongoing shifts, a stable roster, and a supportive team in which your work is genuinely valued. Full training in the participant's specific support needs is provided prior to commencement. Above all, this is meaningful and rewarding work grounded in continuity and trust.

Applicants will require an NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one), current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain these), and the right to work in Australia.

We are looking for an immediate start, with shifts commencing from next week, so applicants should be available to begin promptly.

If this opportunity aligns with your skills and values, we would welcome your application. Please include a brief introduction outlining your relevant experience and availability. To apply, email your introduction to info@rehoboth.com.au or apply directly here on Indeed.

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
