Graduate Landscape Architect / Landscape Architect

Rose Landscape Services is a commercial landscape construction firm located in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. We deliver a range of landscape construction projects across Victoria, working closely with clients, builders, consultants, suppliers and our construction teams to deliver projects from planning and documentation through to completion.

We are looking for a motivated Graduate Landscape Architect / Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based at our Campbellfield office, offering the opportunity to work across the design, estimating and construction sides of the business.

The role provides a good level of autonomy while being supported by our management and construction team. The position is primarily focused on supporting the delivery of landscape construction projects, with involvement in design, documentation and estimating.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and development of landscape concepts, plans, planting plans, details and construction documentation when required.
  • Support project estimating, including reviewing plans, quantities, materials and costs, and assisting with the preparation of project quotations.
  • Support project management and procurement, including material ordering, supplier and subcontractor coordination, tracking project requirements and day-to-day project coordination.
  • Review and interpret landscape drawings and documentation to understand project requirements and ensure designs are practical and buildable.
  • Assist with material, plant and product selections, and provide design and documentation support to the construction team when required.
  • Work closely with project managers, clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to assist with project delivery and resolve design or construction-related issues.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Relevant degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or a related design discipline, with relevant experience or interest in landscape design.
  • Good understanding of landscape design, materials, planting and construction methods.
  • Ability to produce clear and accurate drawings and documentation, with AutoCAD proficiency highly desirable.
  • Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across design and construction teams.
  • A practical mindset and understanding of how landscape projects are constructed and delivered.
  • Knowledge or experience in general construction and architectural elements, including materials, structures, finishes and detailing, would be highly regarded.
  • Experience or interest in estimating, costing, quantities and material pricing, as well as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp or other relevant design software, would be beneficial.
