We have an opportunity for a Lawyer or Associate to join our Construction team in Sydney working with Sheldon Garcia.

About the team and the work

  • Led by Partner with over 20 years’ experience, you will join a growing construction team which specialises in construction dispute resolution, security of payment and contract drafting and review.

  • Our clients comprise local and state governments and private clients across a range of sectors including infrastructure, civil and residential construction as well as niche work in residential developments and strata in NSW.

  • This team is a part of a full-service national law firm and draws on expertise from our colleagues in other offices and other practice areas.

  • The team promotes flexibility and will support individual goals and aspirations where possible.

About you

  • Our ideal candidate will have between 1 to 4 years' experience gained in a well-regarded practice and a strong interest in construction law.

  • You must have exposure to or a strong desire to work on litigated matters, whilst this is a mixed practice, there is a focus on back-end work.

  • Any exposure to large procurement, construction projects working for or with a government agency with be considered high advantageous.
