About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to play a pivotal role in delivering strategic procurement and contract management outcomes that support organisational priorities and government objectives.
In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to provide expert guidance on procurement planning, sourcing and contract management activities.
Drawing on your procurement expertise, you will help ensure procurement decisions are commercially sound, deliver value for money and align with relevant government policies, frameworks and standards.
Working in a collaborative and fast paced environment, you will lead and support a range of procurement initiatives, manage procurement risks and identify opportunities to improve processes and drive better business outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, navigating complex challenges and delivering high-quality procurement solutions that make a real impact.

Some of the key responsibilities for the role include:
  • Engaging and advising key stakeholders on policies, procedures, systems and standards to enable them to deliver effective, outcomes-focused procurement activities across the organisation.
  • Partnering with key business stakeholders to develop innovative procurement strategies to meet specific business needs, manage risk and deliver value for money.
  • Researching, developing, implementing and reviewing organisational procurement policy, procedures, systems and standards to effectively support business procurement needs, identifying and mitigating procurement risk, and meet all legislative and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Managing and maintaining clear, accurate and consistent procurement documentation, records and templates to support transparency, compliance, audit readiness, effective decision-making and organisational knowledge sharing.
  • Advising on appropriate procurement governance and performance management mechanisms to monitor, co-ordinate and improve procurement activity and performance.

About You
You will bring demonstrated experience managing procurement and contract management activities across a range of goods and services, supported by a strong understanding of government procurement policies and procedures.
You will have proven strategic procurement experience, strong stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering quality outcomes in a complex environment.
You will also hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrate equivalent professional experience and training.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
