Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Permanent Educator to join our team in supporting the planning, implementing, and evaluating programs, for our children.
About Our Centre
At Journey Early Learning Essendon, we embrace each child’s individuality, creating a safe and supportive environment where they can truly belong, learn, and grow. Our approach is play-based and child-led, fostering curiosity and a genuine love of learning through meaningful, evolving programs.
Our 140-place centre is set across two thoughtfully designed levels, with unique features including dedicated dining spaces for children, a creative art studio, and inviting, natural outdoor yards that encourage exploration. Conveniently located near Essendon Station and tram stops, with a large underground car park, the centre is easily accessible for our team.
With a passionate and experienced team-ranging from educators just beginning their journey to those with over 16 years in the sector-Essendon offers a warm, collaborative environment where knowledge is shared, growth is nurtured, and everyone feels valued and supported. ⭐ About the role
This is a Permanent part-time opportunity across Monday to Friday either in the Kinder or Nursery room .
The successful candidate must be available to work five days per week (37.5 hours), including both opening and closing shifts.
As our new Childcare Permanent Educator, you will be responsible for the development and fostering of meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the community. You will support and guide children’s learning, while developing your own career and knowledge within the childcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
Facilitate learning experiences for your allocated group of children
Assisting in the observation and evaluation of children's individual strengths, interests and preferences
Design and implement activities to be included in children's developmental program.
Be part of a collaborative teaching and interactive learning environment
About you
You are a creative and inspired early childhood educator with a passion to lead and develop age specific programs and daily routines. You will be a collaborative member of the team, working to build strong relationships with Educators, children, and families.
Key skills and requirements:
An ACECQA recognised Certificate III, Diploma or higher
Experience leading and developing age specific programs and routines
Current Working with Children Check
Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates
