About the opportunity

Arise Care Staff is currently recruiting experienced healthcare and care-sector workers to join our casual agency team across Australia.

We are seeking applicants for the following roles:

  • Registered Nurses
  • Enrolled Nurses
  • Mental Health Nurses
  • Assistants in Nursing
  • Personal Care Assistants
  • Disability Support Workers

Placements may be available across hospitals, aged care, disability, mental health, rehabilitation, community care, supported independent living and other healthcare settings, depending on client and facility requirements.

We are looking for reliable, compassionate and professional staff who are committed to delivering safe, respectful and person-centred care.

Key responsibilities

Depending on the role and placement, duties may include:

  • Providing personal care, clinical care or disability support.
  • Supporting clients, residents, patients or participants with daily living needs.
  • Completing observations and reporting changes in condition or behaviour.
  • Following care plans, support plans and workplace instructions.
  • Administering or assisting with medication within authorised scope and competency.
  • Supporting mobility, transfers and safe manual handling.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and progress notes.
  • Providing clear handover and escalating concerns promptly.
  • Following infection prevention, safeguarding and workplace safety requirements.
  • Promoting dignity, privacy, independence, choice and cultural safety.

Essential requirements

Applicants must provide or be willing to obtain the following, depending on role and placement:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Current AHPRA registration for RN, EN and Mental Health Nurse roles.
  • Relevant qualification for AIN, PCA and Support Worker roles is preferred.
  • 100 points of ID.
  • Current Australian working rights.
  • National Police Check.
  • NDIS Worker Screening clearance for NDIS-related placements.
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration, where required.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Immunisation evidence that meets placement requirements.
  • Manual handling training.
  • Infection prevention and control training.
  • Medication competency or medication assistance training, where relevant.
  • Two professional referees.

Highly regarded

  • Acute care, hospital, aged care, disability, mental health, SIL or community care experience.
  • Driver licence and reliable transport.
  • Comprehensive car insurance where transport support is required.
  • Availability across morning, afternoon, evening, night, sleepover and weekend shifts.
  • Strong communication, documentation and teamwork skills.
