Full job description

Position can be filled in either: Bundaberg, Emerald, Gladstone, Hervey Bay, Maroochydore, Maryborough, or Rockhampton

As Executive Assistant, you will specifically:

- Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Provide support and advice to the Regional Director on administrative and operational issues as well as in relation to preparation of reports, briefs, memos, submissions and executive correspondence.
- Maintain the Regional Director's diary, including the organisation of meetings, appointments,
- Conferences/seminars, accommodation and travel arrangements and screen and redirect enquiries to appropriate areas
- Develop, implement and maintain effective administrative systems in the Office of the Regional Director, including systems relating to asset management, financial, human resource, performance reporting and business processes.
- Provide timely, high-quality advice and support to the Office of the Regional Director in relation to a range of administrative tasks and activities.
- Process orders and claims for payment, filing, record keeping, organising meetings, travel arrangements and collation of data and information specific to workgroup requirements.
- Provide quality services in word processing, spreadsheet development, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and data input.
- Contribute to the management of the financial, human and physical resources of the Office of the Regional Director.
- Liaise with clients, members of the public, other Government Departments and departmental staff in relation to inquiries relevant to the Office of the Regional Director.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the good governance and objectives of the directorate and department.
