Queensland Cotton provides employees with a safe and supportive industrial working environment. We currently seek expressions of interest from reliable, hard-working individuals to work at our Wee Waa Cotton Gin (processing facility) during the cotton ginning season.
The season is likely to commence in late March and is anticipated to run through to September depending on weather conditions and operational requirements.
Successful applicants must be flexible with availability. These operations are likely to run a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week roster. Shifts will be from 7am-7pm, or 7pm-7am. You need to be capable of working a roster that includes up to 8 consecutive days/nights of 12 hour shifts. Pay is in accordance with the Award where penalty rates and shift work premiums apply.
Positions available include: Bag/Press Operators, Plant Cleaners, Grablift/Moonbuggy Operators, Forklift and Truck Drivers.
Heavy vehicle/fork lift licence and machinery/mobile equipment operation experience will be highly regarded and is essential for some roles. A full site induction and training is provided.
In 2026 Queensland Cotton will operate 6 cotton processing gins throughout Central QLD, Darling Downs, South West QLD and Regional NSW. Separate applications are required for each location.
You must have the right to work in Australia without restriction and be confident of passing the company's pre-employment medical and drug screen.
