Full job description

Honour Care is looking for a motivated Health Administration Assistant to support our team with day-to-day administrative tasks and client follow-up.

This position would suit a university student currently studying Nursing, Allied Health, Health Science, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology or another health-related degree who is interested in gaining practical experience in the disability and community care sector.

This is primarily an administrative and coordination support role and does not involve providing clinical advice or clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with general administrative and office duties
  • Maintain and update client information and records
  • Follow up with clients regarding appointments, services and required information
  • Assist with phone calls, emails and general client enquiries
  • Support the team with referrals and service coordination
  • Assist with preparing and organising client documentation
  • Follow up with service providers and other stakeholders as directed
  • Update internal systems and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with appointment scheduling and service follow-ups
  • Provide general administrative support to the Care Manager and Support Coordination team

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is currently studying a health-related university degree
  • Has good written and verbal English communication skills
  • Is organised and able to follow up tasks reliably
  • Has good attention to detail
  • Is confident communicating with clients and service providers by phone and email
  • Has basic Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Is professional, respectful and understands the importance of confidentiality
  • Is willing to learn about the NDIS and disability/community care sector

Previous experience in healthcare, disability support, NDIS or administration is desirable but not essential.
