  • Casual, 2 days per week, 6am - 2.30pm, Certified Organic Farm in Myocum

Conscious Ground Organics is looking for a reliable and motivated Farm Team All-Rounder to join our team! This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an organic, regenerative farm while using your maintenance and property management skills to keep our farm and its facilities in top condition.


As a Farm Team All-Rounder, you will be responsible for supporting the farm owners and their operation, including maintaining the farm’s facilities, accommodation, equipment, and grounds, as well as providing general handyman support. You will also care for the farm animals, ensuring their living spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained. This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping the farm functional and aesthetically appealing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs across the farm, including home, buildings, equipment, vehicles and infrastructure.
  • Provide handyman support to the farm owners, assisting with household repairs and landscape maintenance including mowing.
  • Care for farm animals by maintaining clean and safe living environments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation across farm facilities and grounds, ensuring a high standard of upkeep.
  • Perform basic groundskeeping duties, such as mowing, weeding, general outdoor maintenance as well as cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines, maintaining a safe working environment.

About You:

You’re someone who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a dynamic, outdoor environment. You have strong handyman skills, a practical mindset, and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks. Your love for animals and attention to detail means the farm and its animals will be in good hands.


Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Proven experience in general maintenance and/or farmhand work.
  • Basic animal care knowledge and experience.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Trustworthy and respectful, especially when supporting the family.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual labour, including lifting and operating machinery.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (handyman, maintenance, or farm work).
  • Familiarity with basic tools and machinery (e.g., lawnmowers, brushcutters).
  • Qualifications in Plumbing, Carpentry and/or Vehicle Mechanics desired (but not required).
  • Experience using communication apps such as Slack and WhatsApp, our main communication channel.
  • Compassionate and conscious with the ability to communicate with mindfulness and empathy, aligning with our heart-centred leadership values.
  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Proficient in critical thinking and problem solving with the ability to identify challenges and offer solutions aligned with our mission.
  • Self-Motivated and passionate with a positive, "can-do" attitude to every task
  • Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
  • A valid Australian driver’s licence.
