Your Impact

We have an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Technologist to join our high-performing team based at our head office in Southbank, VIC. With exposure across Asahi Beverages’ alcohol and non-alcohol operations, this role sits right at the heart of our business.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, bringing a practical, positive mindset to support our commercial and financial goals. As part of a highly experienced packaging team, you’ll collaborate openly, share knowledge, and tackle technical challenges together. Curiosity, initiative, and a hands-on approach will see you succeed in this fast-paced environment.

Please note: This is a 24month Fixed Term Contract to support multiple exciting projects!

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Packaging Manager, you’ll support the delivery of multiple initiatives while contributing to projects across our packaging portfolio. You’ll take ownership of packaging materials and operations projects, working in close partnership with site teams and key stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development, delivery, and optimisation of packaging solutions across our beverage portfolio
  • Building and executing structured, prioritised packaging plans to support key initiatives
  • Providing technical support to production and quality teams
  • Partnering with Marketing on projects and Procurement on value optimisation initiatives
  • Designing, executing, and reporting on packaging trials
  • Working closely with operations and suppliers to deliver strong business outcomes
  • Driving packaging innovation from concept through to commercialisation

About You

You’re a technically curious problem-solver who enjoys working hands-on in an FMCG manufacturing environment. You take pride in turning ideas into practical packaging solutions that enhance quality, efficiency, and commercial performance.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science or Engineering
  • Strong technical curiosity and attention to detail
  • Practical experience in packaging development and project delivery within manufacturing or FMCG
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Exposure to quality systems and technical documentation
