About the Role:

Bissy Care and Support Services is seeking to employ dedicated and compassionate Nursing Support Workers who will be responsible for providing essential care and support to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals. The role involves assisting with day-to-day tasks, ensuring patient comfort, and contributing to the overall care plan.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist registered nurses in providing patient care, including feeding, bathing, dressing, and mobilising patients.

Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.

  • Support patients in maintaining their personal hygiene and comfort.
  • ·Help transport patients within the healthcare facility.
  • Assist in preparing and serving meals to patients, and ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and report any changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and support to patients.

Working Conditions:

  • Shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Physical activity, including lifting and moving patients.
  • Exposure to various medical conditions and environments.
