  • Deliver a warm, welcoming café experience by providing outstanding customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform day-to-day café duties including preparing beverages, serving customers, waiting and clearing tables, dishwashing, operating the register and EFTPOS, and handling cash accurately.
  • Assist in maintaining food safety standards, cleanliness, and compliance with OH&S guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
  • Ensure the team is familiar with current menus and daily service requirements, while supporting the delivery of products and services in line with customer needs.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders as required, including responding to general enquiries, maintenance requests, and other site-based interactions.
  • Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a calm, solutions-focused approach, completing tasks accurately and efficiently while following genU policies and undertaking additional duties as directed.

What you’ll bring

  • Certificate and/or relevant experience in hospitality in a similar role.
  • Food preparation as well as café making skills.
  • Knowledge of safe food practices including safe food handling.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Efficient worker who can work well in a busy environment.
  • Ability to communicate with people across a broad range of backgrounds and abilities in a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • You may be required to work at different sites as the business requires.

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)

Bonus points for

  • Food Handling Certificate.
  • Current First aid.
  • Previous event management experience, including functions and catering.
