Full job description

Green Square Dermatology is a busy specialist medical clinic located in the heart of Waterloo, just south of Sydney. Our dermatologists are highly qualified experts in diagnosing and managing conditions of the skin.

We’re on the lookout for a genuine, friendly, and empathetic individual to join our reception team. You’ll become a core part of the practice, managing front-desk reception, patient bookings, billings, and medical records.

Work schedule.

This is a part-time position, working 2-4 days per week, with availability required for an occasional Saturday per month. The hours available can be flexible, but generally fall within a daily mix of the following ranges:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm or 9:00am - 6:00pm
  • Occasionally Saturdays: 8:30am - 2:00pm.

Experience.

We’re looking for someone with prior experience in a medical receptionist role, ideally in a specialist or general practice setting. Confidence with booking systems, phone handling, and billing processes will help you hit the ground running.

If you haven’t worked in dermatology specifically - no problem. We’ll provide on-the-job training to get you up to speed with the terminology, workflows, and systems we use every day.

Key attributes.

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • Well presented – tidy appearance and professional demeanor
  • Well spoken – clear and friendly phone manner
  • Approachable – warm interpersonal skills with patients and teammates
  • Organised – can multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Tech-savvy – comfortable with Windows, printers, scanners, and general modern office tech
  • Team player – works collaboratively with colleagues
  • Reliable – punctual, dependable, and honest

What we offer.

We offer a competitive hourly rate, with the chance to earn more through overtime, Saturday penalty rates, and regular bonus opportunities.

There is also the option for advancement into an Office Manager position, should the applicant demonstrate an aptitude and willingness for the position.

As a team member, you’ll have access to a range of dermatology treatments - many of which we can bulk-bill or offer at a discounted rate. It’s a great perk if you’re interested in looking after your own skin health too.

We provide staff uniforms, so there’s no need to worry about what to wear - just come to work feeling comfortable and confident.

Our clinic is in a convenient location, close to public transport, local shops, and green spaces, making your commute and lunch breaks stress-free.

And for the right person, there’s room to grow into higher-level Office Manager position with additional pay to match, should the applicant demonstrate an aptitude and willingness for the position.
