At Quinn & Co. Eyecare, we are passionate about eye health and helping others see the world more clearly. We are currently seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a part-time eyewear consultant/receptionist. If you’re a self-motivated individual with exceptional customer service skills and a sense of style, we want to hear from you! No optical experience required as all training will be provided on the job.

Our friendly and professional team is committed to creating a positive and comfortable environment for both staff and patients.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet patients with a smile.
  • Answer the phone, book appointments, tend to emails, filing and scanning and other administrative duties.
  • Assist patients in selecting appropriate frames and sunglasses, considering their visual needs, prescription requirements, and personal style preferences.
  • Provide professional advice and recommendations on lens options to optimise vision and enhance the overall eyewear experience.
  • Conduct frame adjustments, repairs, and minor maintenance, ensuring optimal fit and comfort for patients.
  • Place and track orders for lenses, frames, and other eyewear accessories, coordinating with external suppliers and maintaining inventory control.
  • Collaborate effectively with the optometrists, support staff, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as receptionist or customer service/retail assistant ideal but not essential.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive and friendly demeanour.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment and is able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Good computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
