Job Description

We're looking for a compassionate and organised Patient Service Assistants to join our healthcare team on a casual basis.

About the Role

In this role, you will be the backbone of our patient support operations, working alongside clinical and administrative staff to ensure every patient receives exceptional care and comfort. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care and support across various departments
  • Provide safe and efficient patient transport using hospital-approved equipment and vehicles
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in patient rooms and shared areas in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Respond promptly and empathetically to patient inquiries and requests
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient experiences
  • Adhere to all hospital safety procedures, manual handling protocols, and infection control standards
  • Perform general housekeeping and equipment maintenance duties as assigned
  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience when adapting to changing departmental needs and patient demands

Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of infection control, manual handling, and hospital safety procedures
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Compassion and empathy for patients and their families
  • Physical capability to perform manual tasks and patient support duties
