Ozcare has a permanent full-time opportunity available for an Activities Officer supporting our clients at our beautiful Innisfail Aged Care Facility

Your Role

As an Activities Officer you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:

  • Assist in the implementation of programs that meet the spiritual, physical, social and psychological needs of all residents of Dementia unit.
  • Implementation of programs that meet group needs whilst satisfying the individual needs of each resident
  • Report any changes in resident behaviours to your immediate Supervisor
  • Document daily levels of participation in activities
  • Assist in the introduction of new residents to the Facility in a manner that will make them feel comfortable in their participation and ensure that their needs, such as medical and dietary, are met

Role Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care desirable
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
  • Current Police Screening Certificate
  • Be vaccinated against Influenza & have at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine
  • Good computer and mobile device skills
