The role: Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Working with the Principal and Graduate Solicitor

Flexible 2 to 3 days

Typically, your duties will include but are not limited to:-

  • Liaising with new clients and taking instructions
  • Answering Further and Better Particulars
  • Filing online Supreme Court , District Court, and Personal Injury Commission
  • Completing forms such as Medicare , Centrelink and GIPA for clients
  • Research of recent decisions and accessing /collating subpoenaed material
  • All usual admin duties i.e. answer telephone, diarising, copying , filing , typing.

About you

This role would suit a 4th or 3rd Year Law Student looking to gain hands on experience in a growing and friendly workplace. To secure this role, you will have the following qualities:-

  • The ability and confidence to deal directly with clients
  • A high degree of initiative, dedication, independence and organisation
  • Strong academic results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Work to deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail is a must
  • Prior legal assistant experience an advantage.
