About the Role

Reporting to the Lead Designer Brand and Institute Services, the Designer provides skilled design production support for high-volume, repeatable and template-based work across Melbourne Polytechnic.

You will produce print and digital assets within established brand, accessibility and design standards, including marketing assets, event collateral and the adaptation and rollout of approved creative across relevant channels.

Working collaboratively with senior designers and the broader Marketing and Communications team, you will provide flexible production support across shared priorities, including during major campaign and priority delivery periods.

What You'll Do

  • Produce print and digital assets using established templates, guidelines and standards, including flyers, simple promotional materials and event collateral
  • Resize, adapt and roll out approved creative across relevant channels, supporting Marketing and Communications requirements and Institute activities
  • Create, update and maintain design templates in Adobe Express and apply established Melbourne Polytechnic brand and accessibility standards
  • Provide flexible design production support across Marketing and Communications, including marketing and growth channels during major campaign planning and delivery periods
  • Work collaboratively with senior designers and other team members to respond to shared production requirements and contribute to efficient and sustainable creative production workflows
  • Support major Institute events and priority Marketing and Communications activities as required
  • Manage and prioritise assigned design and production tasks under general direction to meet agreed deadlines, quality and accuracy requirements
  • Communicate effectively regarding requirements, progress and delivery, identifying and escalating issues that may affect quality, timelines or delivery

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience working in a professional design environment, producing print and digital assets within established brand guidelines and under general direction
  • Demonstrated experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, to produce print and digital design assets
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow established brand and accessibility guidelines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under general direction while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a creative team
  • Good time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under general direction
