AE Capital is a team of market specialists, data scientists and engineers. Our team applies top-down fundamental analysis, machine learning and software engineering to financial markets.

We build systematic trading strategies for clients worldwide, grounded in a deep understanding of the fundamental drivers behind economies, industries and markets — and how that evolves over time.

About You

You're articulate, intelligent, naturally inquisitive, and thrive in environments that encourage new ideas and value thought leadership.

We welcome interest from a range of backgrounds, including:

• Recent graduates with a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Physics, Atmospheric Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent STEM discipline
• Software engineers
• Quantitative developers
• Computer scientists
• Research scientists

Typical Roles at AEC

The research and development team falls into three camps:

• Software engineering — owning important components of our trading, data and infrastructure platforms
• Quantitative development — building research platforms, model infrastructure, data pipelines and back-testing tools
• Quantitative analysis — analysing market and trading data, testing hypotheses and contributing to the prediction of financial markets

We're happy to consider both entry-level and experienced applicants. Previous finance or trading experience is not essential.
