Pizza Cook – Bondi Pizza ParramattaPosition Overview

As a Pizza Cook at Bondi Pizza Parramatta, you will be responsible for preparing and producing high-quality pizzas and menu items while maintaining consistency, efficiency, and food safety standards. You will play an important role in ensuring every guest receives food prepared to Bondi Pizza’s standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

You will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver excellent food quality, maintain a clean and organised workstation, and support smooth kitchen operations during all service periods.

Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Pizza Production

• Prepare pizzas and menu items according to Bondi Pizza recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Accurately measure and portion ingredients to maintain consistency and minimise wastage.
• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients as required.
• Ensure pizzas are cooked correctly with proper timing, temperature, and presentation.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and dietary requirements.
• Assist with preparation of other kitchen items when required.

Kitchen Operations

• Set up and maintain the pizza section before service.
• Ensure all ingredients are stocked, labelled, dated, and ready for service.
• Operate pizza ovens and kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation throughout the shift.
• Complete cleaning duties, including equipment, benches, and kitchen areas.
• Assist with kitchen opening and closing procedures.

Quality & Food Safety

• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Maintain correct food handling practices, including temperature control and allergen awareness.
• Ensure all food leaving the kitchen meets Bondi Pizza quality standards.
• Report any equipment issues, food shortages, or quality concerns to management.
• Reduce food wastage through correct preparation and portion control.

Teamwork & Service Support

• Communicate effectively with chefs, kitchen team members, and front-of-house staff.
• Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining food quality.
• Support other kitchen sections when required.
• Follow direction from Kitchen Managers, Chefs, and Supervisors.
• Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen environment.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a pizza cook, line cook, or kitchen hand in a busy restaurant environment preferred.
• Experience working with pizza ovens and pizza preparation is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and follow established recipes and procedures.
