An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Delivery Driver at our Pizza Hut Australia restaurant in South Melbourne, Victoria.

As a Delivery Driver, you will ensure timely delivery of goods to customers, reviewing orders prior to delivery, and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. There may be times where you are expected to undertake other duties at times including but not limited to food preparation, receipt of orders, cooking, and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Make deliveries of our product to residential and commercial locations.
• Organise all pizzas appropriately to be delivered to customers.
• Be able to prioritise the best routing for delivery orders.
• Maintain optimal level of hygiene for all pizzas.
• Manage and maintain record of all money and coupons collected from customers and manage all credit card accounts and ensure appropriate signature on receipt.
• Record completed delivery orders accurately and immediately after return to store.
• Facilitate communication for all mobile equipment and ensure adherence to all safety requirements of organisation.
• Maintain knowledge on all operations of pizza oven and ensure compliance to all company standards to assemble all boxes.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area associated with the job function.
• Complete dishwashing duties and other cleaning projects in between orders.
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of products and supplies as stipulated in the shift duties.
• Promote pizza products, distribute door hangers and promotional materials.

What we are looking for

• Be at least 17 years of age.
• Possess suitable communications skills to create a positive interaction experience with our customers.
• Possess a valid driving license.
• Have a mobile phone with data enabled so that you can track all travel with each delivery.
• Where a store does not have use of a company vehicle, have use of a properly maintained, insured and street-legal vehicle.
• Maintain minimal or higher insurance coverage as mandated by state law.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record as stipulated by company policy and insurance carrier.
• Be capable of reading a map and interpreting GPS directions.
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money.
• Be able to work in a seated position while driving, standing, and walking position with frequent changes between positions.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift objects exercising proper ergonomic practices.
• Have exceptional grooming and hygiene habits for food safety and compliance purposes.
