Full Time Fixed term Position - Until July 2027
Band 4 - Salary Range $74,283 to $78,754 per annum + 12% Super + ADO
Salary offered will depend on level of skills and experience.

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a capable, self-motivated Planning Support Officer to join our growing City Growth and Development team.
Reporting to Coordinator Planning Support Services, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support, carrying out statutory procedures, records management, process improvement, liaising with a range of stakeholders and supporting the team to meet agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake all administrative tasks necessary to support efficient operation of the City Growth and Development team.
- Provide general administrative support and assistance to the Manager City Growth and Development, leadership team and all areas of the City Growth and Development department.
- Carry out the referral of planning and subdivision applications to relevant authorities within the required timeframe.
- Provide general administrative duties relating to the receipt, registration, referral, advertising, archiving, and filing of planning and subdivision applications.
- Process the payment of planning application and related fees and completion of necessary paperwork and requisitions for the payment of incoming invoices.
- Assist in identifying systems and process improvements to improve the efficiency and functionality of the administration of the department.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Post-secondary education or relevant experience in an administrative role.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and perform a variety of administration tasks.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable work demands.
