Full job description

Being in our warehouses at Australia Post means keeping active, working with a supportive team, and knowing the work you do makes a real difference every day. It's essential work with plenty of variety, so no two days are ever quite the same. You'll be part of a stable, trusted organisation that values safety, respect and wellbeing. We look out for each other, create an environment where everyone feels supported, and encourage a healthy balance between work and life.

Role Details:
  • 6 Month fixed Term full-time - Monday to Friday
  • 1:00am to 8:51am

About the opportunity
As an Indoor Delivery Officer, you'll be based at our Murarrie facility and you'll play an important role in keeping parcels moving through Australia Post's network. Working in a fast-paced operational environment, you'll:

  • Physically load parcels and mail into trailers and Unit Load Devices (ULDs).
  • Working on the dock to receive, sort and prepare parcels for dispatch.
  • Weigh and process ULDs in line with operational requirements.
  • Set up the dock and work areas to support daily operations.
  • Stage and load parcels safely and efficiently as part of a team.
  • Operate pallet jacks and stackers where required.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, teamwork and operational excellence.

This is a great opportunity to build practical skills in logistics and operations while contributing to a trusted service that communities rely on every day.

About you
  • Flexible and willing to work extra hours when needed.
  • Detail‑focused, reliable and able to handle mail and parcels up to 16kg.
  • Communicate clearly, work proactively and support teammates in busy environments.
  • Experience with pallet jacks or stackers is helpful but not essential.

What else is in it for you?
  • Work with a diverse, supportive team where you have opportunities to connect over both work and social events.
  • Working hours that give you flexibility to make space for what's important to you, either before or after work.
  • Your safety and wellbeing are prioritised above everything else, so you go home the same way you came to work.
  • Opportunities for training, growth and development, with pathways across facilities, operations and other areas of the business.
  • Access to employee networks, mentoring and development programs that support career growth and help build connections across Australia Post.
  • A workplace where everyone belongs, with a strong commitment to inclusion, gender equity, pay transparency and creating opportunities for all employees to thrive.
  • Programs that support aspiring and established leaders, including initiatives such as our #NOW (Network Operations Women) and Women in PPeCS offering development opportunities, mentoring and professional networks.
  • Industry-leading parental leave, including up to 18 weeks' paid leave for primary carers, additional support for secondary carers, and flexible return-to-work arrangements.
  • Discounts and offers on lots of your favourite brands via Post Perks for more cash in your pocket, plus access to health, wellbeing and financial support resources.

All walks, one route
It takes a lot of us to deliver for every Australian – and it’s important to us that our people behind the parcels reflect the people receiving them. We come from all walks. Different backgrounds, different ages, different genders, different sexualities and different abilities, but we all believe in the same purpose.
We welcome people all ages, genders and backgrounds – including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ communities, and refugees. We’re a Disability Confident Recruiter, committed to making our hiring process and workplace inclusive and barrier-free. We’re also working hard to remove bias and build a gender-equitable experience for everyone who joins us. If you’ve got questions about accessibility, reach out to our Diversity & Inclusion team at inclusivecareers@auspost.com.au.
