About the role

Caddens Medical Centre iss seeking a Practice Registered Nurse to join our busy and progressive general practice in Caddens, NSW. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative primary healthcare environment. As a Practice Registered Nurse, you will be a vital member of our clinical team, providing nursing support to our GPs and ensuring excellent patient outcomes. This role is based on-site in Caddens NSW 2747 and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives within our local community.

Key responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care including wound management, immunisations, and dressing changes
• Supporting GPs in clinical consultations and minor procedures
• Taking patient histories, vital signs monitoring, and basic health assessments
• Administering medications and injections as per doctor's instructions
• Managing patient flowthrough and ensuring efficient clinic operations
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records
• Providing health education and lifestyle advice to patients
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised clinical environment
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care

What we're looking for

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse
• Best practice software experience
• Phlebotomy experience
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Demonstrated experience working in a primary healthcare or general practice setting (desirable)
• Strong clinical knowledge and competency in general nursing practice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Organised, detail-oriented approach with strong time management skills
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical software
• Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice
