About the role:
Applications are invited for a 12-month position (with possible extension), commencing from February 2027. To be eligible for this role, you must be PGY2+ from February 2027.
Canberra Health Services (CHS) is focussed on the delivery of high quality, effective, person-centred care. It provides acute, sub-acute, primary and community‐based health services, to the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding regions. More information can be found on the CHS website.

Canberra Health Services recruits Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) to the ACT Network which includes the following sites:
- Canberra Hospital, Garran ACT
- North Canberra Hospital, Bruce ACT
- University of Canberra Hospital, Belconnen ACT
- Alexander Maconochie Centre, Hume ACT
- Goulburn Base Hospital, Goulburn NSW
- Moruya Hospital, Moruya NSW
- Cooma Hospital, Cooma NSW
- South-East Regional Hospital, Bega NSW
- Sapphire Coast Medical Practice, Bega NSW
All applicants must refer to the essential qualifications in the Position Description, to determine their suitability to be considered for this position.
Prior to commencement, the successful candidates will be required to:
- Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check
- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy
