The Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a motivated and eager individual to join our team as an Accounts Administrator!

This is a fantastic opportunity to dive into the world of finance, where you'll gain hands-on experience and grow your skills. As part of the team, you'll start by handling accounts payable transactions accurately and on time, with the chance to take on more responsibilities like accounts receivable as you grow in the role. Reporting to the Lead Accountant, you will learn the ropes and help keep things running smoothly. If you're excited about starting your career in finance, we want to hear from you!

This position, based at our head office in Virginia, South Australia, offers an excellent opportunity for a recent school leaver or TAFE graduate eager to pursue a career in Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with processing and managing accounts payable, ensuring payments are accurate and on time.
• Support the reconciliation of supplier statements and help resolve any discrepancies.
• Work with internal teams and external vendors to resolve payment or billing issues.
• Keep accurate records of transactions and related documents.
• Help with managing accounts receivable, including invoicing and following up on overdue payments.
• Assist in preparing simple financial reports related to accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks.
• Provide support during audits by gathering and organizing required documents and reports.
• Ensure basic compliance with company policies and financial rules.

What we are looking for

• Strong data entry and IT proficiency
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative in the workplace
• Capability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with Business Central is advantageous
