The Role
Reporting to the Granulation Team Leader, your duties will include ensuring production volume and quality in accordance with set targets, perform housekeeping duties, resolve operating issues as they arise and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
You will also be responsible for:
Conduct safe field operations.
DCS control room operations.
Conduct safe permits & isolations procedures.
Shutdown preparation and planning of the plant.
Participate in continuous training and development.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and attributes:
You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
You must have a genuine belief in Safety and demonstrate how you take a proactive approach.
Experience in a Process Technician role in a continuous processing environment, or; a trade qualification, and motivation to transition to an operations role.
You will be flexible, conscientious, quality oriented and able to function effectively in a small, self-managed team environment.
Capability to operate Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
Proven experience within the chemical or gas processing industries would be advantageous.
You must be reliable, positive, proactive and results-driven, you have a strong focus on quality work and thrive in an environment where you will be required to build strong working relationships with people at all levels.
Your must have excellent communication skills up and ability to positively and confidently communicate up and down the business.
Ability to be Involved in planning and coordinating 15week shutdown activities supporting the maintenance planning team.

Phosphate Hill
Southern Cross Manufacturing Operations - Phosphate Hill consists of an integrated open cut mine and processing facility, producing high quality ammonium phosphate fertilisers for domestic and export markets. The production facilities include ammonia, phosphoric acid, granulation and beneficiation plants. The plants are fitted with the latest technology and feature state of the art manufacturing processes.
The Granulation plant consists of the reactors and solids handling equipment necessary to turn gaseous ammonia and liquid phosphoric acid into high quality Granulated MAP and DAP fertiliser.
