The Role

This role supports the Product Quality Team in maintaining a robust quality management system across both Kwinana and Mt Holland operations.

The Product Quality Officer provides disciplined, consistent and traceable execution of product quality assurance by combining batch quality monitoring and release activities with on the floor process confirmation.

The role ensures that:
  • Only conforming product is released
  • Process adherence and control are verified at the point of execution
  • Early signs of process drift or quality risk are identified and escalated
This role is critical to maintaining results confidence, and stable operations through strong execution of defined quality controls.

This is a two year full-time fixed term contract based in Kwinana, with scheduled visits to our Mt Holland site.

Key Responsibilities

Batch Quality Assurance & Product Release
  • Execute product release activities within defined authority limits and escalate exceptions
  • Coordinate finished goods release for Spodumene concentrate, Lithium Hydroxide and co products
  • Govern the accuracy, completeness and traceability of Certificates of Analysis (CoA)
  • Coordinate and document batch related deviations and non conformances
  • Maintain full batch traceability, including raw material inputs, process conditions, and analytical results
  • Escalate abnormal, elevated or ambiguous quality risks to the Superintendent Product Quality
Operational Control & Process Confirmation
  • Conduct regular floor and field engagement with operators and supervisors
  • Verify critical control points, control plans and reaction plans
  • Validate corrective actions and process effectiveness
  • Identify early indicators of instability or non-conformance
  • Contribute findings to deviation prevention and quality improvement systems
  • Provide visible quality presence supporting learning and risk awareness
Role Requirements
  • Trade, technical or tertiary qualification in science, processing or a related discipline (desirable)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience in quality assurance, laboratory, processing or manufacturing environments (+3 years desirable)
  • Practical understanding of batch release, traceability and process control
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Clause 8 (Operational Control and Release)
