Production Manager

Pinjarra Bakery | Bibra Lake, WA | Full-Time Permanent

Lead the Team Behind Some of WA's Favourite Pies

We've been rolling dough and baking award-winning pies for nearly 30 years.

What started as a small bakery in Pinjarra has grown into one of Western Australia's most recognised food brands, supplying our bakery stores, wholesale customers and franchise partners across the State.

We're proud of how far we've come, but we're even more excited about what's next.

With new production lines being commissioned and continued growth across the business, we're looking for an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of our Bibra Lake manufacturing operation and help us deliver the next stage of our growth.

Reporting directly to the owners, you'll lead production performance across the business – from planning and scheduling through to quality, food safety, preventative maintenance, team leadership and continuous improvement. You'll play a key role in ensuring our products continue to meet the standards we're known for while helping the business scale to meet future demand.

This is an opportunity to join a proudly Western Australian family business at an exciting stage of growth and make a genuine impact on its future success.

About the Role

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day operation of our production facility, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the high standards our customers have come to expect from Pinjarra Bakery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading day-to-day production across pie, sausage roll and bakery product lines

  • Managing production planning, scheduling and workforce requirements

  • Driving HACCP, food safety and quality compliance across the operation

  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing production team

  • Supporting the commissioning and optimisation of new production equipment and production lines

  • Overseeing preventative maintenance programs and equipment reliability

  • Managing inventory, waste reduction and production efficiency

  • Delivering operational reporting and performance metrics

  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives

  • Working closely with the owners and leadership team to support the company's growth objectives

About You

You're a proven production leader who understands what good looks like on a manufacturing floor.

You know how to build teams, solve problems, maintain high standards and deliver consistent results. You take pride in producing quality products and creating an environment where people can do their best work.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Experience leading production teams within food manufacturing, bakery, FMCG or similar environments

  • Strong HACCP, food safety and quality systems knowledge

  • Experience managing production planning and operational performance

  • A hands-on leadership style and strong people management capability

  • Sound commercial awareness, including waste reduction and efficiency improvement

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Experience driving operational improvement and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Confidence working with manufacturing systems and production reporting tools

Bakery, pastry or food production experience will be highly regarded, but we're equally interested in hearing from experienced food manufacturing leaders who share our commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Why Join Pinjarra Bakery?

When you've been baking pies for nearly 30 years, people come to expect a certain standard.

We're proud of the reputation we've built, the products we make and the team behind them.

This is your opportunity to join a growing Western Australian success story, work directly with the owners, influence business outcomes and help shape the future of one of WA's most recognised food brands.

We offer:

  • A key leadership role within a growing business

  • Genuine autonomy and the opportunity to make a lasting impact

  • Direct access to decision-makers

  • Competitive salary package based on experience

  • Company phone, laptop, uniforms and PPE

  • Staff discounts and professional development opportunities
