Full job description

Who we are:

At PICHA Group, we specialise in elevating national brands through innovative signage, activations, and retail solutions. From design and fabrication to installation, we create bold, high-quality work for some of Australia’s biggest brands.

About the role:

We’re seeking a versatile and highly organised Graphic Designer and Pre-Press Operator with proven experience in the signage industry to join our studio. In this role, you’ll produce technically precise artwork ready for production. This full-time role works across our three departments, Signage, Activations and Exhibitions, and Retail Solutions.

About you:

You’re an experienced, detail-oriented designer who thrives in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. This position requires strong organisational skills, the ability to self-schedule across multiple projects, and a practical understanding of signage production. You’ll manage your own workflow across departments, balancing pre-press preparation and production coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage time, projects, and multiple deadlines across departments in a fast-paced environment
  • Prepare and pre-press production-ready files for various substrates and media (large-format print, CNC routing, etc.)
  • Conduct thorough artwork proofing, take-offs, and quality control to ensure accuracy, colour consistency, and production compliance
  • Strong understanding of print production workflows, design language, colour management, and file preparation
  • Collaborate and liaise with Project Managers and Production teams on artwork changes, approvals, and delivery timelines
  • Develop signage designs aligned with client briefs and brand guidelines

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a signage or print production environment (essential).
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Strong understanding of production processes, materials, and file setup.
  • Excellent time management and self-scheduling abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude with great communication skills.

Why you’ll love working here:

  • Quarterly RDO and staff wellbeing days
  • A hands-on, collaborative work environment
  • Supportive, creative, and fun team culture

How to apply:
If you’re a motivated designer who loves creating visual impact and being involved in projects from concept to completion, we’d love to hear from you.
Submit your resume, cover letter, and portfolio telling us about your experience and why you’re excited to work at PICHA Group.

Candidates available to start on or around January 5, 2026 will be viewed favourably.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Salary is commensurate with experience.
