About School Infrastructure | Demountable Program
The Demountable Program manages the maintenance, refurbishment, storage and relocation of demountable accommodation. The program coordinates the critical Day 1, Term 1 installation program to meet the needs of NSW schools.
About the role
- Provide a range of project and contract management services, which includes preparing reports and briefs and implementing and monitoring project plans
- Organise and oversee the delivery of the demountable refurbishment, construction, maintenance, storage, transport and commissioning works in conjunction with other government agencies and service providers to achieve program delivery outcomes including the critical Day 1, Term 1 program
- Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, contractors and other stakeholders
- Develop, collate and maintain detailed electronic records to manage the delivery of demountable refurbishment, construction, maintenance, storage, transport and commissioning works
- Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues, design improvements and opportunities and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables
- Develop and maintain documentation for managing and tracking a large fleet of transportable buildings to assist with identifying future needs for NSW Schools

About you
- Experience in a customer service environment
- Great organisational skills and be able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks in a high-volume environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook
- Experience in Procurement, Project Management and Contract Administration (or a willingness to up-skill in this area)
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
- On site presence at the Gateshead West Office
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
