About the Role

Due to continued business growth, we are currently seeking highly motivated Graduate Project Engineers to join our team based in Perth, WA.

In this role, you will provide project, technical and administrative support while developing your knowledge of Contract Resources' core services. You will work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders and assist with the coordination of site-based activities across onshore and offshore facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recently graduated engineer to launch a career in the Oil & Gas industry, gaining valuable site experience while working alongside senior leaders, project managers, engineers and clients on major industrial projects.

Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent) majoring in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, P&IDs and technical specifications
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability and willingness to undertake manual site-based work
  • Ability to work within a team or independently with good initiative
  • Willingness to complete specialised training courses such as Breathing Apparatus, Confined Space Rescue, Working at Heights and Helicopter Escape for offshore work
  • Previous vacation or internship work experience within the oil and gas or resource sector (highly desirable)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders
  • Understanding of engineering design principles and the ability to contribute to the design of systems and components that meet business requirements
  • Ability to identify, analyse and contribute to effective engineering solutions
  • Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence
  • Full working rights in Australia
