About Us

Pilbara IT Services Pty Ltd provides professional IT support and managed technology services throughout the Pilbara region, including Port Hedland and Karratha. We support clients across education, childcare, government, defence, logistics, shipping, mining and commercial industries.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated ICT Support Engineer to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Providing Level 1 and Level 2 onsite and remote ICT support.
  • Diagnosing and resolving desktop, laptop, printer, hardware and software issues.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining Windows operating systems and business applications.
  • Supporting Microsoft 365, Outlook and related Microsoft services.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, peripherals and multifunction devices.
  • Troubleshooting LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and internet connectivity issues.
  • Assisting with user account administration and password resets.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions.
  • Providing excellent customer service while working independently at client sites.
  • Travelling to customer sites throughout the Pilbara region to provide onsite technical support.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess one of the following:

  • Advanced Diploma in Information Technology (or equivalent); or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, ICT, Computer Science, Network Engineering or a closely related field.

Required Skills

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Knowledge of desktop, laptop, printer and peripheral support.
  • Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong customer service and time management skills.

Required Experience

Applicants must have:

  • At least 1–2 years' experience in a similar ICT Support Engineer, IT Support Engineer, Helpdesk, Desktop Support or Field Support role.
  • Experience providing onsite and remote IT support to business clients.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving software, hardware and network issues.
