  • Remuneration: $42.82 to $52.27 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Locations Available: Perth, East Metro, North Metro, Regional WA
  • Employment Type: Full-time and Part-time

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced counselling professionals who are passionate about supporting individuals and families affected by mental health challenges. Successful applicants will join our talent pool for future Family Support Counsellor opportunities across Perth metropolitan and regional locations.

The Position

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing counselling to children, young people, adults, couples, and families, using evidence based therapeutic and brief intervention approaches tailored to individual client needs.
  • Delivering client-centered, trauma-informed and culturally responsive support to Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) clients and carers.
  • Facilitating psychoeducation, workshops and group sessions on communication, boundaries, coping skills and family dynamics to build client and carer capacity.
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with schools, community organisations, health providers, youth services and carer networks to support coordinated and integrated service delivery.
  • Supporting clients to navigate support systems, community resources and service pathways to enhance access to appropriate care and ongoing support.

About You

Minimum qualifications:

  • Tertiary Degree in Counselling, Psychology or Social Work
  • Current Driver's License
  • Proof of Australian Working Rights

You will also either have or be willing to obtain the following:

  • National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
  • Working with Children Card
  • Current First Aid Certificate
