My client is a boutique Sydney-based private credit manager specialising in private debt financing. As their business grows, they are looking for an experienced Credit Analyst to come onboard on a permanent basis.

The Role
You will work on diverse, property-backed lending transactions with a broad lending policy, focusing on residential, childcare, and townhouse development transactions.

This role will report to the Operations Manager and play a key role in reviewing and assessing transactions. You will be responsible for forming your own independent credit view, preparing recommendations, and presenting them for discussion before final approval by the Credit Committee.

This role suits someone who enjoys understanding deals from a credit perspective and has the ability to balance commercial opportunity with risk.

This role has significant scope to grow into more senior client-facing role as the team grows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse incoming lending and equity transactions across residential, childcare, and townhouse development sectors
  • Conduct due diligence
  • Assess transactions and draft/review term sheets for borrowers and investors, ensuring documentation is accurate and agreements are properly executed
  • Form independent credit recommendations for presentation to the Credit Committee
  • Monitor and manage the existing loan portfolio, ensuring timely reviews and reporting
  • Ensure service level agreements are met
  • Handling ad-hoc queries
Skills & Experience

  • 2–4 years experience in credit, lending, or property analysis. *More experienced candidates also welcome
  • Strong technical skills including financial modelling, Excel, and report writing
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good time management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative and good team-player
