Join our Caring Team as our Part-Time Medical Receptionist
As our Medical Receptionist, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. You’ll provide exceptional customer service, deliver accurate and efficient administrative support, and bring a positive, team-focused approach to every interaction. You will also work closely with the dedicated team at the adjoining TerryWhite Chemmart Cairns Central, fostering strong collaboration across both healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional front-desk service
- Manage phone enquiries, appointment bookings, and patient check-ins
- Maintain accurate patient records and handle billing and Medicare processes
- Assist doctors, nurses, and practice staff with administrative support
- Help maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming practice environment
- Handle day-to-day reception duties with professionalism and care

- Have experience in a medical or customer service environment
- Have experience with Best Practice software
- Are confident communicators with great people skills
- Can multitask in a busy environment with accuracy and composure
- Are reliable, proactive, and eager to learn
