Experienced Medical Receptionist

About Us:

Wyperfeld Medical Clinic is an accredited family practice located in Taylors Lakes. We provide premium healthcare services to our local community and maintain an organized, supportive working environment for our staff. We are looking for an energetic, hardworking Medical Receptionist to join our front desk team on a casual basis.

The Role:

You will handle daily patient reception, manage phone lines, and complete clinical administration tasks. This role requires someone who is reliable, punctual, and completely comfortable working with modern digital systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients and managing check ins and check outs.
  • Answering phone calls, handling inquiries, and scheduling appointments.
  • Processing Medicare bulk billing, private billing, WorkCover, and TAC claims.
  • Managing clinical admin workflows including incoming emails/faxes, patient scans, and documents.
  • Keeping patient records accurate and confidential.
  • Helping tidy the reception and waiting areas.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • GP Setting Experience: You must have previous experience working in an Australian General Practice medical reception environment.
  • Best Practice Premier Software: Extensive knowledge and practical experience using Best Practice Premier software is an absolute requirement.
  • Computer Literacy: Excellent computer skills are mandatory, as our clinic uses digital workflows.
  • Availability: You must be available to work at least 4 days per week.
  • Work Ethic: You must be reliable, punctual, hardworking, and highly accurate with data entry.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Having a clinical background or prior medical training is a major advantage.
