Full job description

Golden Beach Medical Centre is a large, modern and purpose-built practice, striving to deliver excellence in health and clinical care on the Sunshine Coast.

We are seeking a bright and friendly medical receptionist to join our practice team.

We will provide you:

  • On site training to develop your medical administration skills
  • Supportive working environment with great team of Admin Staff and Nurses
  • Fully computerised facilities
  • Flexibility with hours and availability as needed
  • Chance to transition to PT or FT position if desired

The successful candidate will be a valued member of our team and have a positive and friendly attitude towards team members and patients.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Welcoming our patients
  • Answering telephone calls, assisting with enquiries and scheduling appointments
  • Collecting and accurately recording patient details (including scanning documents to patient files)
  • Other general administrative duties

To be ideal for this role, you will possess:

  • A bright and friendly personality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in a Medical Receptionist role would be advantageous, as would experience using Best Practice (though not essential)
  • An ability to work unsupervised (but with direction)
  • Respect and privacy for patients and their medical files.
