Full job description

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our practice. You will be responsible for managing patient appointments, processing billing and Medicare claims, handling correspondence, and providing outstanding customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting and checking in patients in a warm and professional manner
  • Managing appointments and the daily schedule via practice management software
  • Processing billing
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Answering phones and managing patient enquiries
  • Scanning, filing, and maintaining accurate patient records
  • Liaising with hospitals, specialists, and other healthcare providers

About You

  • Previous experience in a medical reception, receptionist or customer service facing role is ideal but not necessary.
  • Experience with Genie practice management software highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional presentation and a warm, caring approach to patients
  • Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times
