What you'll be doing

As an Anaesthetic Registered Nurse, you will provide person-centred, evidence-informed nursing care to patients undergoing surgical and procedural interventions. You will work closely with anaesthetists, surgeons and the wider healthcare team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care throughout the perioperative experience.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with professional standards and best practice
  • Deliver high-quality, timely and culturally responsive care to patients with diverse health needs
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Support, mentor and contribute to the development of nursing colleagues, students and support staff
  • Promote patient safety, evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Essential Criteria
  • Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (APHRA)

Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated experience and clinical skills in Perioperative Nursing Practice and in particular anaesthetic nursing.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail
  • Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
