Job Advertisement: Full-time / Part Time Team Member and Senior Crew - Dumpling Chef

Dumpling Chef, a thriving franchise chain specializing in Chinese dumplings and fast food, is delighted to announce the opening of its new store in Bayside Shopping Centre Melbourne. As we prepare for this exciting new venture, we are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Full-time and Part-time Team Member and Senior Crew.

Position: Team Member and Senior Crew

Location: Karingal Hub Shopping Centre

Employment Type: Full-time and Part-time

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals, individual dishes, and foods.
• Estimate food portions, monitor supplies, and manage inventory.
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including chefs and cooks.
• Inspect and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and food service areas.
• Order supplies, equipment, and handle food deliveries.
• Assist with food preparation and retrieval of ingredients.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, appliances, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, and utensils.
• Maintain clear and organized workspaces.
• Dispose of trash and ensure kitchen hygiene.
• Operate the ABACUS POS system accurately (training provided).
• Prioritize attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service, taking orders and packaging food.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate with diverse customers to meet their needs while following food safety and hygiene protocols.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with operating the ABACUS POS system or similar point-of-sale software is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends as the store operates seven days a week.
