Salary package: $91,546 - $114,906 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full time, Fixed term (up to 2 years) (flexible arrangements, job share, or part time hours will be considered)

The Position

The Postdoctoral Fellow will join Research School of Biology and work under the supervision of Associate Professor Megan Head. This role offers an exciting opportunity to undertake independent research in evolution and ecology, contributing to innovative and high-impact outcomes through publications, conference presentations, and national and international collaborations. The successful candidate will work as part of an externally funded research project, supporting timely project delivery and contributing to funding applications and research proposals. The role also includes mentoring and supervising students across undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels, with opportunities to contribute to teaching activities where relevant. Working collaboratively with academic, professional, and industry stakeholders, the Postdoctoral Fellow will actively contribute to the School’s research culture, outreach activities, and broader academic community, fostering strong and productive professional relationships.

The Person

The successful person will undertake independent research in the areas of thermal ecology with a view to publishing original and innovative results in refereed journals, presenting research at seminars and conferences, and collaborating with other researchers, including students. The successful applicant will hold a PhD in a relevant field, have a strong publishing record for their career stage, and have experience training and mentoring research students.
