As a Medical Officer on the health services team at Acacia Correctional Centre, you’ll make a positive impact by promoting the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates, ensure the safety and security of inmates and the community and provide a respectful environment to inmates. Full time, part time or casual will be considered with role based in Wooroloo, WA.
You could be a great fit if you have:
- Unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA
- Possess a degree in Medicine from a recognised tertiary institution
- Be recognised as a Fellow or working towards the same with RACGP
- Current Life Support certification/ALS
- Experience in Primary Care, Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol and Emergency care
- Ability to provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written forms
- Cultural awareness and the ability to work with diverse populations
