Full job description
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $476,078 (L24) comprising salary rates between $369,287 (L13) and $476,078 p.h. (L24), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value. Multiple permanent full and/or part time positions, hours negotiable.

As a Senior Medical Officer, you will deliver safe, high-quality healthcare to rural communities while supporting service improvement, clinical leadership and workforce development.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing expert medical care to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
Collaborating with medical, nursing and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
Leading quality, safety and clinical improvement initiatives.
Supporting education, mentoring and professional development of future healthcare professionals.

You are a compassionate and capable medical practitioner who is committed to improving health outcomes in rural communities. You value teamwork, demonstrate sound clinical judgement and contribute positively to patient care, service development and clinical leadership.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Current registration as a medical practitioner and eligibility to practise in Australia.
Fellowship in General Practice or a recognised rural generalist training pathway.
Strong clinical capability and experience in rural, regional or broad-scope practice settings.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, lead multidisciplinary teams and contribute to quality and safety improvements.
Desirable attributes include advanced rural generalist skills, experience leading service improvements, and an interest in education, mentoring or clinical research.
You will embody Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage, helping deliver exceptional care close to home.
