About the opportunity
Reporting to the Drafting Team Leader and part of the MJH Drafting team, the key focus of this role is to ensure CAD drawings are accurately completed to reflect the customer requirements in a timely manner, and in accordance with current building regulations, company standards and procedures. More specifically, you will:
This full time role is a 12 month parental leave cover – with the possibility of extension

• Interpret tender, council and supply authority documents in conjunction to create detailed working drawings
• Prepare draft sales plans and working drawings that incorporate house siting’s, floor plans, elevations, internal drawings, plumbing and slab layouts
• Prepare CDC/DA documentation and construction drawings in accordance with Developer guidelines, and Council
• Liaise with multiple internal stakeholders including project coordinators, estimators, colour selection consultants and permits team
• Draft construction drawings including reviews and amendments
• Problem solve construction and drafting related matters

About you
To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of MJH and the NEX Group along with:

• Minimum of 1 year producing drawings using ArchiCAD or similar
• Certificate IV or equivalent in Architectural Drafting
• Experience working on residential construction projects is an advantage, but not essential
• Understanding of the NCC and related construction practices
• Knowledge of current housing codes and regulations
• Demonstrate an innovative approach to solving problems
