Hope Springs is HOPE’s residential rehabilitation service, based on the Therapeutic Community (TC) model. It provides a safe and structured environment where individuals can focus on their recovery, develop life skills, and build healthy connections.

About the Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be an integral part of the Hope Springs community. • Provide day-to-day support to residents through group facilitation, activities, and mentoring
  • Support residents to set and work towards personal recovery and wellbeing goals
  • Maintain accurate records in our Client Management System
  • Encourage life skills development through daily routines and purposeful engagement
  • Respond to incidents and crises with professionalism and care
  • Transport residents to appointments and activities as required

What’s on Offer

  • $50.60ph + superannuation + regional allowance
  • Located in Walkaway, a 30 minute, scenic drive from Geraldton
  • Casual position - flexible roster options (day/evening/weekend shifts)
  • Work in a values-driven organisation making a real difference in people’s lives
  • Be part of a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team
  • Opportunities for training and career development
  • Contribute to a well-established and respected Therapeutic Community
  • Make a genuine social impact every day

You’ll Need

Essential:

  • Experience or understanding of Therapeutic Communities and the 'Community as Method' model
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Compassionate, respectful approach to working with people experiencing AOD and mental health challenges
  • Willingness to engage in outdoor and recreational activities
  • Ability to work in a team and follow structured routines
  • Commitment to professional boundaries and ethical practice

Qualifications & Checks:

  • WA C or A Class Driver’s Licence
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate

Desirable

  • Lived experience or experience working in AOD, therapeutic rehabilitation services, mental health, or justice-related services
  • Formal qualification in community services, social work, or related field
  • Experience working in a culturally secure and trauma-informed way
