Position: Restaurant Supervisor

Location: Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm Hotel, Kimberley Region, Western Australia — Food & Beverage Division

Employment Type: Full‑time | Shift-based | Regional Operations

Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000

Reporting To: Restaurant Manager or Tourism Manager

Role Overview

We’re searching for an enthusiastic Restaurant Supervisor to join our food and beverage team at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm Hotel in the stunning Kimberley region. Working in our restaurant in the food and beverage division, you’ll supervise and coordinate staff, ensure professional and timely service, and uphold high standards of customer care. The role is ideal for those passionate about hospitality, who thrive in team settings and enjoy leading by example.

As Restaurant Supervisor, you’ll oversee daily shift operations, lead and train junior staff, manage rosters, and support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for every guest. Your focus is on service excellence, staff development, and effective communication with management.

Main Duties & Tasks

  • Supervise, guide, and motivate food and beverage staff throughout each shift, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  • Coordinate daily shift operations, including opening and closing procedures, service transitions, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Train junior staff members, monitor their performance, provide constructive feedback, and support ongoing professional development.
  • Manage staff rosters and monitor attendance, ensuring adequate coverage during busy periods and maintaining smooth service delivery.
  • Address staff grievances and resolve workplace issues promptly, maintaining a respectful and harmonious work culture.
  • Oversee guest reservations, manage seating arrangements, greet guests on arrival, and ensure prompt responses to customer requests or concerns.
  • Monitor the presentation and replenishment of stock, including displaying food, beverages, and bar items attractively and maintaining high standards of drink preparation.
  • Maintain stock control of food and beverage items, ensuring supplies are well organised and ordering is done as needed to meet demand.
  • Uphold workplace health and safety standards, maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment for staff and guests.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with management, kitchen staff, and team members to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of service.
  • Promote the venue’s food and beverage offerings, upholding service standards and encouraging positive guest experiences.
  • Perform incidental duties as required to support smooth operations, maintaining flexibility to assist across various tasks.
  • Ensure cleanliness and professional service standards are maintained in all areas, with particular attention to bar area cleaning and drink preparation.

What We're Looking For

  • 1 – 2 Years Experience supervising food and beverage staff in café, restaurant, or hospitality settings.
  • Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to lead by example.
  • Good organisational and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with food safety, bar service, and workplace health and safety requirements.

Desirable:

  • Experience in hotel, resort, or remote hospitality environments.
  • Exposure to regional or remote food and beverage operations.
  • Barista or bar skills, and knowledge of basic OH&S.
